Our stock list is available here as pdf files which can be viewed onscreen or downloaded on to your computer to be read later. The list is updated periodically as our stock and wanted lists change. If you have any problems accessing the pdfs please contact us and we can send them in another format. Check out the 'News & Offers' page for an update on any events that we may be attending or any special offers/reductions that we may offer from time to time.
The list is divided into sections and books are listed with details of the author, title, year of publication/edition and a brief assessment of their condition. All books are in a nice condition, largely reflected by their age, and many recent titles are 'as new'. Generally previous owner’s signatures/addresses, gift inscriptions, bookplates and price clipped dust jackets are not noted. Details of the books contents are not listed, so if you would like more information about this, or if you have any other questions about any books of interest, please contact us.

With a regular turnover of stock, we are happy to look out for that elusive title that you are searching for and we can carry out book searches. Wants lists are welcomed and if a book is found it will be offered with a price, including postage, with no obligation to buy.
Books wanted ~ do you have books to sell?
We are always looking to buy in stock covering all aspects of natural history and can offer a cash price or a part-exchange value. We would be pleased to receive a list of any books you have to sell either with your asking price or we can make an offer. Delivery costs: WITHIN the UK
Please let us have your post code so that we can check the correct postage rates [courier charges are higher for services to Channel Islands / Northern Ireland / Scottish Highlands & Islands].
The cost of delivery will be added to your invoice. If you are passing through Wareham, Dorset (BH20), books may be collected from us by arrangement. For small parcels up to 2.0kg (size restrictions apply) we use the Royal Mail's UK Standard 2nd Class Service. For medium parcels weighing 2.0kg-20kg we use either Royal Mail's UK Standard 2nd Class Service or a Courier Service through our account with www.interparcel.com (usually sent, depending on the weight, by Evri or Parcelforce but other couriers may be used).
Our standard delivery rates to UK addresses:
1: Large Letter, up to 750g (Royal Mail)... £3.00 (max)
2: Small Parcel, under 2.0kg (Royal Mail)... £3.50
3: Medium Parcel, 2kg-10kg (Royal Mail)... £7.00

Delivery by courier services (within the UK):
1: A telephone number is required to enable us to book the courier.
2: Once booked we will advise you when the parcel will be picked up from us and the expected delivery date. Standard deliveries usually take around 3-5 working days (after pick up) to arrive. Next day deliveries (after pick up) are possible at an additional cost.
3: Deliveries can be made at any time during the day and you may be required to sign for the parcel (if you miss the delivery, the parcel may be left in a porch, a secure location, with a neighbour or you may have to arrange another delivery time with the courier).
4: Most courier services are tracked (but the quality of the service can vary!) - you can contact us if you require an update.
Delivery costs: OVERSEAS
Whilst we are happy to send books overseas, please be aware that the cost of doing so can be expensive... especially to the US! In the first instance it is advisable to contact us so that we can advise you of the services available and their cost. In general, if a parcel weighs under 2kg we will use the Royal Mail's standard international service (not tracked, we can quote a price for a tracked service). For parcels over 2kg we will use a courier service.
PLEASE BE AWARE: if any customs duties or additional courier charges are incurred within the receiving country these are the responsibility of the BUYER and will need to be paid locally.
Delivery by courier services (to non-UK addresses):
1: A telephone number is required to enable us to book the courier.
2: Delivery dates vary widely depending on the service used and the destination country.
3: Deliveries can be made at any time during the day and you may be required to sign for the parcel (if you miss the delivery, the parcel may be left in a porch, a secure location, with a neighbour or you may have to arrange another delivery time with the courier).
