Calluna Books specialise in buying/selling out of print natural history books online, through a catalogue and by attending selected events and fairs. I have been trading since 1997 and I am now based in (Northumberland) - callers are welcome by appointment.
I have a stock of over 3500 titles of books, journals and reports that cover a wide range of natural history subject areas including birds, mammals, reptiles, floras, invertebrates, ecology, wildlife art and books on the general natural history of the UK and worldwide.

Talks & Overseas Guiding
After 32 years living in Dorset, I have relocated to Northumberland and my local guiding service in the county has come to an end.
The move has given me the opportunity to review my activities - Calluna Books will continue dealing in secondhand natural history books and over the coming months I will be considering my ownership and the future of the Birdwatcher's Yearbook.
I will also continue to offer Illustrated Wildlife Talks (in person / on zoom) and in 2024 will be leading spring tours to Lesvos and Spain for Birdfinders.
PLEASE NOTE:
At the end of October 2023 I completed the purchase of a house in Northumberland and will be relocating there.
I am planning to move between Dorset / Northumberland for a while to get the house ready to move permanently. Until then, Calluna Books & The Birdwatcher's Yearbook will continue to operate from Dorset so any orders or queries should be directed via the contacts page - you should receive a response fairly quickly. There may, from time to time, be a short delay to fulfil secondhand book orders (if so, this will be advised). Orders of the Yearbook will continue to be dispatched within 2-3 working days.
