Welcome to

Illustrated Wildlife Talks

After 32 years living in Dorset, I have relocated to Northumberland and my local guiding service in the county has come to an end.

The move has given me the opportunity to review my activities - Calluna Books will continue dealing in secondhand natural history books and I will be publishing the 2025 edition of The Birdwatcher's Yearbook in October.

I will also continue to offer Illustrated Wildlife Talks (either in person / on zoom).

Calluna Books relocation to Northumberland is now completed so normal service has been resumed.

MAIN / REDUCED STOCK LISTS UPDATED for JULY 2024

The Birdwatcher's Yearbook 2025 (45th edition)

Work has begun on the next edition of the Yearbook and it will be available at the end of October. The cover price will remain at £24.00 but will be offered here for £22.00 including 2nd class postage (1st class / overseas postage rates will also be available). Pre-orders can be taken from mid-September (watch this space).

The future: With my move last year... and advancing years! ...I have decided that it is time to refocus on what I do and to 'semi-retire'. Calluna Books will continue buying/selling natural history books but after 10 years of publishing the Yearbook, this will be my last edition. The future of the Yearbook will depend on finding a new owner - someone would need to be in place by around Easter next year. Should no-one take on the title then, sadly, it will be time to bring it to a close.

If you feel that you might be interested in the possibility of taking over the Yearbook, please feel free to get in touch to have a chat to find out what is involved.
